Caesar's Cyclery is a family-owned bike shop, started in 1982, which has been in its current location in Marin County at 29 San Anselmo Ave, just south of downtown San Anselmo, since 1985. Caesar Sr., a graduate of the Schwinn Southwest Company, the manufacturer of Schwinn Bikes, started working in the bike industry in 1968, and has watched and participated in the birth and growth of the sport of mountain biking.
He started with ten speed road bikes and cruiser conversions to 15 speed “Klunkers,” which have since developed into mountain bikes. Two of his sons now help him run the bike shop, bringing with them knowledge of modern mountain bike technologies and BMX styles.
The shop has sponsored the San Rafael High School Mountain Bike Race Team since the 2006-2007 season because we're committed to a healthy, active culture of bicycle transport and recreation, and because we believe the benefits are immediate and long-lasting, personal and global. |
